The Call
Desiree and Chris Siegfried opened up their home and began gathering as a home church in December 2020 after the Holy Spirit’s prompting to do so. They had just moved to Newberg, Oregon, thinking it was to be closer to family but quickly realized the Lord’s plan was greater than they could have expected. Within months the Lord intensified Desiree’s heart for the people of Newberg and the call to reach others in her community, through prayer, launched the vision for Prayer Tents.
The first Prayer Tents were set up in November 2021 and have spread to 18 new locations across the country in the last year. With each new Prayer Tent set up in a city or community, neighborhoods and lives are being transformed. Prayer not only has the opportunity to unite neighbors but to grow the Kingdom by bringing people to the Lord and inviting them to join in fellowship at a church gathering. This can also unite local churches in working together to pray for their community.
An intimate home church gathering offers the ability to create diverse and deep conversations regarding Scripture and The Word while honoring and praising the Lord in worship. This setting gives everyone the opportunity to grow and mature in the manifestations of the gift of Holy Spirit and to learn to walk in their full identity and authority as a son or daughter of the King. Through prayer and discipleship we strive to live in holiness, unity and love as ambassadors of Christ.

The Mission
Fellowship & Worship
Life is hard enough to do it alone. Fellowship is a key element for encouragement and support. Praise and worship delights our Father and draws us closer to Him.
Prayer
Prayer is essential in a Christ centered life. It is our communication line to the Lord where we lay down our burdens, share our gratitude and seek guidance. Prayer increases our intimacy with the Lord and brings revelation, prophecy and healing.
Biblical Foundation
More than ever it’s important to seek and understand biblical truths to have a Christian Worldview and to have your faith on a firm foundation. We seek to understand the context of scripture and to view it from a first century mindset for better clarity and understanding.
Discipleship
Salvation comes by hearing and confessing Jesus but for someone to sustain and persevere in a fallen world they need discipleship. This is the heart of a small group and why home churches allow for a more intimate and personalized way to grow in faith.
Evangelism
We are called to be fishers of men. With that, it’s important to us to share the good news of Jesus with everyone we meet. The prayer tents are a wonderful way to get out there in groups and make a difference.
Outreach
To be the hands and feet of Jesus is to be a help in the community. We strive to support and volunteer in our community in any capacity needed to be an example of love and to shine the light of Jesus everywhere we go.
